What is stored

Public accounts store a username, display name, password hash, recovery-code hash and your saved university plan. Your plan can include qualifications, course research, budgets, tasks and personal statement drafts. Enter only information you want stored. No email address is needed for signup.

How it is used

Your information is used to sign you in, save your plan and prevent abuse. Other users cannot access your plan. The original personal school workspace is separate from public accounts. Term does not sell your plan or share it with universities. Clicking an external link takes you to that organisation’s own website.

Hosting and cookies

Cloudflare hosts the app and database. A secure, HTTP-only session cookie keeps you signed in for up to seven days. Cloudflare may process connection and security logs, including IP addresses, to operate and protect the service. The app stores a hashed connection identifier for authentication rate limits. No advertising or analytics scripts are installed in the public planner.

Recovery and control

Save the recovery code shown at signup. It can reset your password and revoke previous sessions. Term cannot recover an account without its password or recovery code. You can change your password in Account settings; changing it signs out older sessions. You can export a JSON backup from your plan. You can permanently delete your public account and its saved plan in Account settings after confirming your password. Accounts and plans remain stored until you delete them or request deletion. Hosting backups and provider security logs may persist according to Cloudflare’s retention policies.

Estimates and sources

The directory is a dated snapshot with its coverage and official sources shown on the page. Entry requirements, room availability and funding eligibility must be checked directly. The calculator models the inputs you enter; it does not approve funding or guarantee wages. Tax estimates currently use published 2026/27 rates.
